Forensic Dentist Uses Professional Experience as Inspiration for a Crime Novel

BUFFALO, NY — Forensic dentist Mary Bush, DDS, an associate professor and assistant dean for clinical affairs in the University At Buffalo (UB) School of Dental Medicine, has published her first novel, “A Simple Lie.” The novel follows former dentist Valentina Knight who, after being maimed in an attack, lies to land a job as a death scene investigator. The lie places her in the crosshairs of a serial killer.
