Managing Enamel Demineralization

Biomineralization is a lifelong, complex process by which the body produces minerals in order to strengthen existing hard structures. When the pH homeo-stasis of the body becomes disrupted, the result may be demineralization of hard tissue, such as tooth and bone, or a precipitation of minerals, such as in the development of kidney stones or gallstones.
