Dental hygienists work with patients in a variety of clinical environments. The American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) established the dental hygiene process of care to ensure that every patient is evaluated and treated as an individual with unique oral health needs.¹ While dental hygiene diagnosis is an essential part of dental hygiene care, confusion exists on how to implement it into daily practice.
