Prioritizing Oral Hygiene to Prevent Hospital-Acquired Pneumonias

Evidence suggests an inverse correlation exists between the routine completion of high-quality oral hygiene in hospitalized patients and the development of hospital-acquired pneumonias. Despite this correlation, 70% of hospitalized patients do not receive adequate oral hygiene.1
