As the population ages and life spans increase, the prevalence of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD) will also rise.1 Currently, 5.3 million Americans have been diagnosed with AD, and by 2025, this number may reach 7.1 million, representing a 40% increase.2
